New Little Loxie

Meet 'Dashie', he is the newest addition to my Little Loxies. He's a little sausage dog based on one of my son's drawings.

Here is 'Dashie markI'. This one is made using an old skirt of mine and some of my grandma's ricrac. He has found his way under my little girl's arm most of the time, or tangled in her bed!

And here is 'Dashie mark II'. This one is made using a vintage sheet and stripey scraps. I felt I needed to make a few little adjustments to make it look more like a dog and less like a rat/marsupial mouse/possum (?). I took the two middle legs out (which makes it heaps easier to stuff!), made the tail 'flappy' - not stuffed as part of the main body, and 'streamlined' some of the lumps and bumps.

Now, I have a problem ... I'm not sure which one I like better or which one looks better ... Can you help me? I love the basic shape of him (perfect, as I said for underarm-cuddles), but just not sure on the finer details.

I'd love to hear what you think!

The two legged one, definately. When I saw the first one I thought "he has too many legs!" lol

Good luck with him! :)

I think it's gotta be pink. But I also love that the blue one was based on your son's drawing - and let's face it you can't really second guess a kid's imagination can you?
Lovely lovely choices of fabrics for both...

Lachie,Ali and Lil' Em - what a team.
One to design, one to make and one to test drive!

Both are just perfect. I reckon Mr Blue is a perfect reflection on boys technical view of the world and always ready for adventure. Whil Miss Pink is just that, Pink, gorgeous and ready for cuddling!

So congrats on making 2 perfect new Loxies.

Loxies Rock!

I love them both! Dashie#1 is perfect for little boys and Dashie#2 is perfect for little girls. Actually I think any child regardless of gender would want to cuddle both. One for each arm!!!

Sorry...that was probably no help :)

They are both too cute, but I love the blue version because it comes straight from the young artist's heart.

I love that the first one is from your son's drawing - that is very special. The second one with 2 feet is cute too, but my son would be worried it only had 2 feet... Softies are so often for the adults that buy them in the first place, so I would vote pinkie but in any colour!

I love both pink and blue, they are sooooo cute! I like their visible little differences to go with their individual personalities. Maybe you could try a three legged pooch next time ;D

I think I like the four legged one better. the two legs looks good from the side but i think four legs just has more appeal...its kooky

Pink is my fave colour, but I have to be honest I like the four legged one better!

Oh Ali, this is SO hard. I guess the second one does look more like a sausage dog (and I LOVE that fabric - I have the same vintage sheet and I'm going to be so sad when it's all used up!) but like many others have said, the first one is so childlike....so I guess I'll have to go with the first one. It just has that 'loxie' feel :D

I'm not going to be any help - I like them both! I love the craziness of the four legged one. Yet the two legged one has a kind of beautiful simplicity. Your fabric choices are gorgeous!

Am always pooping in & out here as your handcrafts makes me happy.

Wish my son got a kid, so I can order some of the stuff toys from Brissie's

Enjoy!

I like both also. The first ones four legs gives it oodles of character and the second one definitely looks like a sausage dog. Maybe you could just stick with two versions and have a different name for the second one :).

If i had to choose i think the second is more 'you' ie goes with the style of your others characters...but then i like the four legs as well...why not list them both and see how they go...
