Shadow Shot Sunday #32

Happy Sunday everyone!

Here are some shots that I captured on a recent trip to the Mt Coot-tha botanical gardens. I visited with the kids, my Mum and my Aunty and her granddaughter who were visiting from NSW. We had a lovely picnic lunch, playing, rolling down the grassy slopes (the kids - not me!) and strolling through the gardens

These were taken at the Japanese Garden - which is so serenely beautiful, even with loud, excited children in tow!

The walled garden is beautifully laid out with lush green plants, a little pond, bridges and picnic spots. I spied many shadows in the Japanese Garden as well as the rest of the Botanic gardens (it was such a beautiful sunny day!) but these were my favourites. The soft shadows of the tree on the wall as we were leaving the Japanese garden caught my eye.

Have a happy Sunday everyone, and thanks again to lovely Hey Harriet for her Shadow Shot Sunday!

I love these shadows Ali. The soft and crisp leafy shadows blended together are just so pretty.

Sure, sure, I can't imagine our Ali letting the opportunity to roll down grassy slopes pass her by. There's nothing to be embarrassed about! Only if you suffer from grass allergies which end in hives.

The Japanese Gardens are my favourite section of Mt-Cootha! They're so beautiful and I often spot the biggest lizards (water dragons) hanging out there which makes me very happy! Your shadow shots are lovely! Are you sure you didn't roll down the grassy slopes Ali? I bet you had a quick roll while your family had their backs turned ;)

Such lovely shadow shots! And it sounds like such a lovely day! We have lovely Japanese maples here in Seattle -- on of my favorite trees! So glad you had such a good time.
Have a great day!

Lovely, and serene indeed! Love the lacy look to the leaf shadows.. Wonderful patterns to contemplate.

What a pretty picture - and so many shades of shadows, just perfect for a siesta we think!!

The tree branch on top, upon first glance, looks as if it is part of the tree... rather than it's shadow! LOVE the delicate leaves and their shadows!

Really cool with the Japanese garden and the tree is probably a Japanese cherryblossoms, huh?

Fantastic.!

Have a wonderful day, downunder Ali!
