October pumpkin

October is here! And while I am enjoying glorious (warm) spring weather, I am thinking about Halloween, 'Fall' and pumpkins .... Well, it's no wonder with this top being one of my latest creations!

Yes, the picture is very bad, but I'm afraid it was the best out of very bad lot!! I made this using a 1976 Simplicity dress pattern and a thrifted old bed sheet (Bec, I actually bought the pattern from the Dorrigo 'Vinnies'!). The tie was a necessary inclusion to prevent me appearing to have the shape of a pumpkin, as well as the colour! And despite it reminding me of a Halloween costume, I rather like it!

This Sunday morning, I will be at the Blackwood St (Jan Power's) Markets in Mitchelton - if you're in the area, drop in and say hello!

Enjoy October, whether it's autumn or spring!

Hey that's sweet. A bed sheet? I would never have guessed! Have a great day at the markets on Sunday. Take lots of photos! If I'm in the area I will certainly drop in & say hello. Hopefully you'll be wearing your halloween costume so I can easily spot you :)

Aaarrrgh! This is my third attempt to leave a comment. I keep getting the 'word verification' letters wrong...

Just as well we only have white sheets in the house, otherwise I'd be ripping into them turning out delightful classics like yours! It's gorgeous.

And lots of luck at the markets this Sunday - please take lots of photos.

The top is just lovely. I really like the neckline and how it sits. I hope Sunday at the markets goes well.

I'm loving this october weather - I hope it's a good day on sunday for the markets for you! I would come and visit, but I live over southside and I'm too lazy to get myself over to Mitchelton!

Wow, I think it looks great! I never would have guessed it was a bed sheet in its former life!
